In-person drum lessons near me

Drum lessons are available for all ages at The Leaside Music School in Toronto. Both our young and adult students enjoy drum lessons. Drumming is perhaps the most effective way to learn essential musical skills such as rhythm and timing which can be transferred to other instruments. Therefore, some people find it beneficial to study drumming in conjunction with other kinds of instrumental lessons.

Drumming involves the hands, eyes, and feet, making it a great method for developing coordination as well as bringing structure to the brain via rhythm. In addition, a large part of drumming culture is based on improvisation (jazz, drum circles, etc. ), which is a superb way to develop creativity and imagination. It is a lot of fun to learn the drums, whether you are an adult or a child, and you can play almost any style of music - classical, jazz, country, rock, R&B, and pretty much anything else. Additionally, drumming is a great stress reliever and exercise!

How to Get Started with Drumming

The Leaside Music School believes in providing you with the best foundation possible so that you can play all the instruments you are interested in. All that is necessary for young and beginning music students are drum sticks, a practice pad, and a drum method book. In order to further develop your drumming skills, you will eventually need a snare drum, eventually graduating to a full kit.
