What to expect
A woodwinds program built for Forest Hill students.
We start with a short conversation about the student. Age, prior experience, favourite music, whether they hope to pursue exams, and what a realistic practice week looks like. From there, one of our faculty designs the program.
Families from Forest Hill, Deer Park and Chaplin Estates make the short trip east for lessons with our full-time faculty. Recitals, RCM exam prep and thoughtful teaching are the reasons most parents cite when they call.
Lessons run 30, 45 or 60 minutes and follow the school year. Students working toward Royal Conservatory of Music certificates receive full exam preparation, and students who prefer modern repertoire have a program shaped around the music they actually want to play.

Student stories
Woodwinds students from Forest Hill.
“Was in TO for 5 weeks over the summer. Originally was looking to do group lessons, but ended up with private lessons at a very reasonable rate. Other than having a great instructor (thanks Robin!), I was introduced to Cubase 5, which has now become a regular part of my drum practice repertoire (now that I am back in Budapest), which has helped improve my music reading skills immensely. Drum-learning wise, the best call I've ever made!”
Laszlo Reichel
“Amazing lessons, relaxed but focused atmosphere, great place to meet other musicians and students.”
Matija Krunic
“Great staff, friendly environment! Matthew rocks!”
